Innovation to Impact at Yale announces a Small Grant Competition for promising innovators who are committed to addressing addiction by launching proven innovations into the marketplace. Innovators are invited to apply for one of six $10,000 awards (a total of $60,000 will be awarded). Solutions to combat substance abuse may include the use of diagnostics, prevention, and treatment.
Innovators must present 30-, 60-, 90-day milestones for a specific project.
Funds must be used within 90 days of receiving the award.
Companies will be evaluated based on the team, the innovation, readiness to move forward, and clear vision for use of funds.
The grant application is open to anyone, but priority will be given to current and past participants of the Innovation to Impact program.
About Innovation to Impact
Twenty million people are struggling with substance use disorders and the yearly economic impact in the US is $193B. Innovations that could help substance users are not reaching the public fast enough. To address these challenges, Innovation to Impact at Yale was developed as a national program to provide education, mentorship and seed funding to innovators. The program is led by a team of top-tier educators and entrepreneurs with the overriding goal to advance ideas to IMPACT the world.
